We received a copy of the Northern Community Assemblies, Poster on the "You Choose" Event, and have posted copies on the village notice boards.
David Gregory emailed to say "I have recently been doing some dry stone walling in the garden and have a fair few undressed stones left. It's difficult to estimate how many but I'd say at least a ton".

Information watch

PC Peter Booth, named by South Yorkshire Police as "Community Constable of the Year" for his work in Ecclesfield, has won second place in Jane's Police Review's Awards for "Community Police Officer of the Year 2010.
The Road Safety Marking Association has singled out the A6135 between Ecclesfield and Junction 36 of the M1 as having three quarters of its markings barely visible or needing replacement.
Mobile speed cameras will be in operation on "Chapeltown Road, Ecclesfield" during week commencing 15th November 2010.
Sheffield City Council have extended their free cavity wall and loft insulation measures to East Ecclesfield Ward. Ring 0800 915 9096 for details.
Ecclesfield Gala raised £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
