Information watch

  • In addition to the above funding, the "Northern Assembly Plan Priorities Update¬ " mentions possible money from the £25k "Ward Pot" for small improvements such as dropped-kerbs and handrails. The Northern Community Assembly have identified "Improving Public Places and Spaces" as a "new priority". They also mention "Parish-based Community Days" for groups to showcase activities and recruit volunteers, and an "Environmental Pot", under the "small grants programme".
  • The topping stones on the wall in front of the flats on Yew Lane opposite to the P:icture Shop have not been changed from the "out of character" white ones we objected to, but at least they are still attached.
  • St. Marys Church bells¬ have been removed for re-furbishing.
  • Mobile speed cameras¬ will be in operation this week on A6135 Ecclesfield Road / Chapeltown Road, Ecclesfield / Chapeltown.
  • Sheffield City Council say that Stop and Go boards¬ will be in operation on Church Street on 16th & 23rd October 2011.
  • We have been emailed the link to Sheffield's Live Weather¬ site [although I think I still prefer xcweather¬].
