  2. Preparations for the official opening of the Industrial Heritage Board at 11:00 on 2012-03-24 (Saturday), and positioning of distribution boxes for its complementary leaflet.
  3. Discussions of the possibility of funding new "boundary markers", "mileposts", or "welcome signs".

Communications received (E.g. on ).

  • The owner of the old Methodist Chapel told us that he thought thieves had tried to remove lead from the roof, and has started work to secure the building and its grounds, and start the renovations.
  • Sheffield City Council are proposing to reduce their �2.2 million "Discretionary Budget" by 10%. This includes replacing the "small grants pot" with a "central pot", and reducing the current 10 Safer Neighbourhood Officers to 6 (full time equivalents) - comments to Joy Taylor by 2012-02-24.
  • Voluntary Groups and small businesses are being offered 2 free bicycle stands https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads/travel/cycling/Parkthatbike.html�.

Information watch

  • Mobile speed cameras� will be in operation this week on Chapeltown Rd., Ecclesfield and Wordsworth Avenue.
  • .There is a Police Safer Neighbourhood Team Community Meeting for Ecclesfield and Parson Cross in the TARA building in Unity Gardens on Wednesday 2012-03-07 at 18:00.
  • The next meeting of the Northern Community Assembly is on 2012-03-27 at 128:30 at Lomas Hall, Church Street Stannington.
  • If anybody from our group attended the meeting regarding traffic on the Wheel/Wheel Lane on 2012-02-07 at Whitely Cricket Club, then members would be interested in the outcome.
  • There is a Nature Watch Event starting at the Bandstand with craft activities for children in Chapeltown Park on 2012-02-265 (Saturday) at 10:00.
